@adoran2 Yet another reason why vinyl is such a poor/stupid medium for storing music... I once owned thousands of records.

@Whalley_Ranger I only got into vinyl a few years ago. I get so much pleasure out of my collection.

@adoran2 Some friends of mine in the 1960s were dancing on a dock in the hot sun, playing Autosalvage on a portable record player. When the record got too warped to play, they'd put it back in its jacket, walk around on it to flatten it, dip it in the lake to cool it off, then play it some more. There's your solution!

@JMaxB Blimey. The horror of what that must have sounded like at the end of it! 😱

@adoran2 This thread reminds me that I never forgave Mark Johnson for melting a favorite LP that I lent him ~56 years ago.

@ReaderJohn πŸ˜‚ Did he replace it? 1966; I'm going to take a wild guess and ask whether it was Revolver?

@adoran2 No, he didn't replace it. It probably was something like Blood Sweat & Tears' debut, but after 56 years, I've forgotten the details, remembering only the grudge.

@adoran2 way back in 1988. So, the trauma has passed πŸ˜€. I’m reluctant to admit that it was a DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince record. My tastes have since matured
