@adrianmorales Explain to me how it is greedy?
The game is 60 on Switch. The upgrade is 10 (unless you have NSO, the it is free) the optional DLC is 20.
That's 90. That's the price that pretty much all of the games current owners have paid over the life of the 200+ hour game that was a genre defining title worked on by over 200 developers that have been in the industry for years and weren't laid off after the project finished, but instead were valued by the company and treated right.
@adrianmorales If you want the game cheaper, there have been discounts down to about 40. And used, you can probably get it for 25ish.
People who call this greedy don't appreciate the work behind the game, and the game value itself, in my opinion. Not to mention the extra development hours spent on the upgrade.
As for the "it's 8 years old!" argument. The game doesn't get less fun for people as time passes. Chess and checker sets keep up with inflation and those games are far older.
@adrianmorales -
Conversation earlier with daughter āIām not going to buy it - they games are going to be Ā£90! - how dare they - no one can afford that.ā I tried to explain the concept of inflation. I tried to explain the concept of play per hour value. I think I failed at both.
@Ianbradbury @adrianmorales
The bootlicking that Nintendo fanboys are doing now to defend Nintendo's greed is insane. 70 dollars for the new BOTW game and they want you to pay extra for the DLC.
