If I ever have to ditch Arc, I’ll move to Brave because it’s the only browser that works exactly as I expect. Chrome isn’t it, Firefox doesn’t always work (and the iOS app is really bad), and Vivaldi is just too much to make it like Brave or Chrome. This is where I’m at. Also, I’m using Chrome exclusively ... pawel.orzech.me

@pawel This might not apply to you, but here's my little journey that made browser choice at least a bit simpler:

I've always thought I "of course" need to use the same browser everywhere, including iOS and iPad OS - because of history sync or something??

But after way too long, I noticed that I (almost) never need that! Between using a third-party password manager (1Password), third-party bookmark manager (AnyBox) and just sending stuff through Telegram's Saved Messenges, having the same browser on Mac and mobile has become a non-issue.

I found that my browser use on mobile is so different from desktop, that I don't need access to the different workspaces in various desktop apps, for instance. (And saving some quick favourites in every app isn't a large task.)

So now I just use my preferred browser per platform. Currently that's Firefox (Mac) Quiche (iOS) and Safari (iPad). 🙂

@Havn nice, valid point. I think you might be right! I’m not using Arc on Windows so I don’t use the same browser everywhere. Hmmm… thanks for the input, I might think about it more now 😅

@pawel Glad to hear! 😁 To me, it was quite freeing to have that realisation, heh. (And an argument for not relying too much on integrated browser features, and using third-party stuff instead.)

I'd like to read the result of your thinking! (Feel free to tag me if you end up writing it.)
