I don’t know if I’m alone with this behaviour… are you one of these guys who keep unused (or very rarely used) apps on your devices? Do you keep them “just in case you need them”? I’m trying to change this behaviour and I created a folder called “On the way out”. 😳🤔😂😂 : numericcitizen.micro.blog

@numericcitizen Yep! I've tried that folder too. Now I just wait for when I am in a good "delete everything" mood and trya dn be ruthless!

@Burk but I do use this folder to put apps in "observation mode"... which is a good way to see which fix, new features come with each update. Cool, enh? 😎

@numericcitizen So, I don’t, but I did turn on “Offload Unused Apps” which removes the app automatically. It does save the data from the app (just whatever settings tweaks you’ve made, etc) and it puts a little cloud with a downward arrow symbol next to the app name. That way you can see which ones you haven’t touched in awhile. You can then fully remove it, if you wish.

@numericcitizen Guilty. Every once in awhile I have a clearing out, but the truth is a lot of apps stay on my devices way too long.

@sarcassem good tip! The only thing is, to my knowledge, we have to rely on iOS's decision to remove the app binary, this is not someting we can force... am I right?

@numericcitizen I do this and then one day I feel as if my device has gotten “heavy” and me being as impulsive as I am, I go ahead and erase all contents and settings from the phone and start over! 😅

@numericcitizen @Burk yeah that is true. I do wish there was an app or something we could launch that showed the last time you used the apps on your device. That would be cool.
