@dominikhoecht Blot might be a good option. It does have a theme/templete specifically for photos. Blot it’s $30 a year

@dominikhoecht In the case, Micro.blog is out. I do use it for the convenience factor. Blot is good if you set up the flow. Be wary of exceeding Dropbox’s free limit if you aren’t a paid subscriber yet.

@dominikhoecht I struggle with that one myself. And I don't know the monthly cost - if it exceeds yur $50 limit.

But I don't know whether blog or micro.blog has a future either. However, they have other advantages.

Wordpress may be the most futureproof platform out there. Been around 17 years and still going strong. Automattic seems to be financially sound as well.

@dominikhoecht I'm thinking of starting an additional category for my photos, to distinguish from the stream of found Internet images and memes I also post.

@dominikhoecht I would’ve recommended WordPress but it’s $50 at the Personal plan level. I too quit WP after 15 years and moved to Blot for my blog.

@dominikhoecht The recent plea for help by Smugmug, Flickr’s owners, is not encouraging, to be sure!

@dominikhoecht And I've started keeping Flicker up-to-date again. Any photo that's original to me that's worth sharing here (or Facebook, instagram, etc.) also gets posted there. Starting yesterday, and sporadically for 10+ years before.
