Arroz con habichuelas (rice and beans) and pulled-pork for lunch today. Good pork!

@Gabz That sounds amazing, and takes me back to the (shockingly good) school lunches I had when I was a little kid in Puerto Rico (and other meals too but for some reason those school lunches really stick with me, probably because I had them every day). I was a rice and beans eating machine!

@Gabz I lived there from about age 4 to around 8 and a half. We were there for my Dad's job. Unfortunately, I didn't continue using spanish much after we moved back to Virginia and I lost most of it. I basically had to start over from (near) zero when I started taking it in high school and never really got it down again.

@Gabz But I definitely remember the food! My Dad still makes pretty good rice and pigeon peas from time to time, and we still get together with some friends and famil for three kings after christmas.

@DrOct That's awesome , Yes ! Rice and pigeon peas are is my favorite. We can't find pigeon peas here in Idaho, I mean you can but it's rare and very expensive so my mom sents me some every once in a while.
