Doc told me I should add some cardio to my daily routine…just went for a light jog and enjoyed the heck out of it! : aaronaiken.me

@Gabz Last time I did any serious running was high school track, and I haven't viewed jogging/running for anything other than competition or if I ever found myself being chased (which, fortunately, never happens). So never even considered it…glad he mentioned it and thankful I listened. Will work it into my day to day.

@aa I personally dislike running for the most part. But the times I do my mind just drifts away and I like that part of it. I get the same effect when going to the gym nowadays. Once the girls are in bed I go and it’s my time. And it’s nice to do something that help you both physically and mentally.

@Gabz I feel like the biggest reason I exercise is for my mental health and that the physical aspects are a pleasant bonus!

@Omrrc a hundred percent ! I’m more about the mental benefits. But I have always been a little bit of a gym rat. But my reasons for going now are definitely very different than they were 10-15 years ago for sure

@ I say I go to the gym so I can be mentally stable, keep up with the girls and drink more beer 😅
