@canion Agenda will pull ahead in the first round, and NotePlan will come from behind in the second round. A fifth contender will jump onto the track and steal the win!

@canion NotePlan. I tried Agenda, but I didn't like it because it keeps its files in a database, not as text files on the filesystem. So I couldn't get at them with other apps.

@canion Agenda for me, since my days are (unfortunately) all organized around meetings

@devilgate That’s the direction I’m leaning too. Only thing is that it can’t store files. Which is where NoteBooks could come in handy.

@canion I tried Notebooks a couple of years back and didn’t like it because “it wants to keep tight control of the directory structure, and when you look at the directory in Finder or another text editor, you find it has been polluted with plist files, one for each plain-text file.”

Is that still true?

@devilgate It still creates .plist files but does provide an option to hide them in the file system. The biggest downside for me is it relies on Dropbox for continuous sync. I don’t use Dropbox anymore. I have it set as it’s own WebDAV server but that requires manual syncing.
