Apparently, it is possible walk 20k steps at >2.5mph, close my Apple Watch’s activity ring, and still only get a two (2) minutes for the exercise ring. 🤨

@muncman I eventually gave up on it measuring walking. If I want it counted as exercise I have to do a “Other” activity instead 😡

@ronguest @jeffmueller Well, that’s disappointing to hear. I’ve never had it do this before, thankfully. Rebooted my watch in the hopes it never happens again.

@jeffmueller @ronguest @muncman does it has something to do with hart relate maybe ? I have noticed this too and if I’m walking at a slow pace it won’t count it.

@Gabz You could very well be right about that. I had a slight sweat worked up but my heart rate wasn’t very high the few times I checked - like 86. And looking back now, it also took very few measurements during that time.

@muncman Our dogs are slow and I learned years ago that a dog walk wouldn’t give me any exercise minutes. Now everything I do is basically an Outdoor Other.

@Miraz Ah, dogs. 😃 That seems like a reasonable way to handle that. Thanks for the tip!
