@Gabz Dabbled a bit with NewsBlur when Reader was shutdown. I think the social parts they tried to emulate from Reader were interesting, but never felt the same. Ended up self hosting TT-RSS and use that today. Have toyed with Feedbin lately, mostly due to the recommendations here. Tempting.
