For a former hardcore gamer, which system should I get?
Switch PS4

@tiffany I personally have both but, I prefer the switch because of how easy is to turn it on an start playing! And you can play on the go or use it as a console. The ps4 may have more high end games and such that aren’t available on the switch so at the end of the day it depends more of what type of game you prefer to play
@tiffany Like @gabz said it depends which games you like to play. The Switch doesn’t have the horsepower of a PS4 (and the PS5 likely comes out next year with more power yet retaining PS4 compatibility). The Switch is really good for portability, casual play and of course if you love the Nintendo game franchises the Switch is best. E.g. Zelda Breath of the Wild is a great game on the Switch. If you like shooters and high end action graphics go with a PS4. Some of these have been ported to the Switch but have lower res graphics and lower FPS.
@tiffany I have both, but stopped playing on the PS4 after the Switch arrived. It is without a doubt my favorite console.
But as have been mentioned, the type of games you play would most likely affect your choice.
