That’s me Just Jax. How about you - who are you? Nice to meet you - I think.
@Jax hi 👋 👋, i am Gabz (or Gabe, Gaby, depends who you ask and/or which country) , welcome and nice to meet you!
@Jax Oh cool! Well, I’m originally from Puerto Rico, friends and family call me Gaby or Gabz. Whereas most coworkers here in the US call me Gabe instead.
@Gabz Mucho Gusto! Puerto Rico is wonderful - though I have not been for years! Thank you for the welcome!
@Jax I spent about 30 years in Wellington but now live up the coast near Levin where the weather's better and the beach is better. 😀
@Miraz I remember the drive my family has a place at Otaki too! Lovely spot of the planet you are at!
@herself awesome tell me whereabouts and what you are doing? Im@actually in The San Francis Bay Area USA but will be back in NZ for 3 months this coming NZ summer
@Jax Nice! I live in Eastbourne, looking back at the city. I'm 'sahm'-ing, but I also do software testing part time and am (very slowly) working on a book too. How about you? What brought you to San Fran?
@herself that is one of my fave places on the planet! And a happy place in my mind and heart. As for the travels to SF it was all about a man darling and best told over wine. *smile. Whats the book about? Sahaming? not sure what that meant?
@Jax Welcome! It’s great to have more Antipodeans here on Micro.blog. I’m from Wollongong in Australia and the New Zealanders whom I’ve met here have offered only excellent conversation.
@Jax @martinfeld greetings from an antipodean currently living in the anti-antipodes. ask me anything :)
@johannesk Haha I though that might have been it but I wanted to check in case I missed something else mysterious...
@Jax the best sort of story then ;)) SAHM = stay at home “mahm” (in your best American accent, like you would if you were saying “soccer mom”...at least that’s how I hear it in my head!) The book is about a seventy year old necromancer who is finding herself.
@martinfeld Awesome! ice to meet you here! I will try and honour the excellent conversation standards... though without coffee or with wine - it may slip :)
