I have felt pretty overwhelmed lately. Keeping everything I need to get done in Things has been a lifesaver. It’s so fulfilling to be able to check things off and know that I am getting the most important things done. : bennorris.org

@bennorris I’d be interested to know what tour approach or workflow is with Things. I have tried it in the past and for some reason it never sticks long enough. Which is a change because it’s a good gorgeous app.

@Gabz What’s funny is that this was an old post that resurfaced again, but is still true. There are a couple things that have helped me lately. One is that I have a number of daily recurring tasks that I set to repeat one day after completing. I’ve been liberal with deferring tasks to tomorrow when I’m just not going to do it.

Another is to change the badge to only be things with a deadline and use those carefully. Then I have the watch complication reminding me throughout the day that I still have things to complete.

Hopefully that helps a bit. This is an ongoing and continually struggle for most of us.

@bennorris one thing that keeps me coming back to Things is how much better of an iOS app it is than most of the others. I can fly on the iPad with keyboard attached. I challenge OF or todoist to do the same.

@adrianizq Agreed. Keyboard support is best in class.

@bennorris tried to make a quick packing list in todoist on iPad. Was getting frustrated. No quick way to make subtasks. Or move multiple items as subtasks. OF is difficult on iOS in this regard too. Things is so much faster

@adrianizq The biggest thing that clinched it for me is the Today view in Things. OmniFocus didn’t have a way to easily mark things for the day I want to work on them. Rarely, if ever, so I want to work on something on its deadline. I almost always hope to work on it ahead of time.
