It’ll be interesting to see if it’s worth dumping the Gmail app.
@simonwoods Spark is definitely worth trying! I was using it on both Mac and iOS for a while. (I stopped only because I switched to a geekier client on the Mac, but might yet switch back on iOS.)
@chipotle I remember it from when I had a 5S, and much like iA Writer it's always interesting to see how Apple-first developers tackle Android.
@simonwoods how do you feel about iA Writer? I am, ah, strongly conflicted about its refusal to let me bring my own fonts (and I don't love the fonts they include, from what I've seen of them), but I'm still tempted.
@chipotle ha! I don’t think I ever heard of that one. I have been meaning to try other email solutions, maybe fastmail or proton mail. Right now I have one google account and my iCloud, that it (sagger having multiple gmail accounts)
@Gabz MailMate is a Mac client application, not a mail service, so it's not quite the same, although it'd work with any IMAP server (Gmail, iCloud, FastMail, whatever). I have several Gmail accounts for various reasons plus an iCloud account myself.
@chipotle I have yet to use it fully but as a Windows user it's fair to say alternatives are thin on the ground. As such I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes my preferred option, once I can get my hands on it now that they apparently released the library feature.
