@lmika I was looking at your photo, and trying to remember if this had ever happened to me, and I don't think it has. I've always seen this from somewhere covered (car, house,...)

@maique There was cover nearby, but I was in line for lunch and I didn't want to leave my spot, so I'm was probably in the hail for a total of 30 seconds or so. Any longer and I would've made for cover sooner.

@maique @lmika @gaby My father and I got hammered by hail once when I was around 10 years old. The hail was ca. 1 cm ∅ and really hurt. We ran inside which luckily was an option.

@odd Hahahahaha, so sorry, but that must have been a good run. All this time later and you still remember it.

@odd Ooh, ouch! Yeah, the hail-stones can get pretty large here as well, a couple of centimetres in diameter. Doesn’t happen that often but when they do, they can really do some damage to skylights.

@Gaby Yeah, that was probably a wise decision. Oh, and I’m not a fan of piña coladas either 😄 (well, to be fair, I haven’t really tried them).
