@pimoore I saw “blog logo” and my brain put that together to “blogo” and I can’t un-see it 😅
Love the new logo!
@pimoore As a fellow follicle challenged hat wearer I love this as a logo! Double thumbs up endorsement. You have me thinking about what I might be able to do.
@pimoore oooooh….! I like this! I like the colors. I like the style. I like the hat..! I need one too … Any chance you’re for hire? 😁
@jtr @pimoore He mentioned just above that he used Affinity Photo, an excellent app by a UK based company, Serif. They also make Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher. Pete, have you tried those yet? An amazing suite of apps that are available as a one time purchase. They’re available for Windows, Mac and iPad and the files are compatible across all the apps.
Actually, lol, upon re-reading it, I guess he may have done the hat in another app and then added the effects using Affinity Photo! But Affinity Photo is also capable of vector graphics so it’s possible he did the whole graphic in the one app. 😆
@pimoore Well, if it’s any consolation I’ve been using the Affinity apps since they were first released on the Mac and 9ish years later I’m still learning the ropes. 🤣 I’d guess it’s different for everyone but in my case I’ve just slowly accumulated new skills with each app. Some I’d already aquired using the Adobe apps and then just adjusted accordingly. As far as I can tell there will always be new features to discover as needed, not to mention the limitless ways that tools can be used in different combinations, processes, etc.
For vector graphics like your hat you might want to play around with Affinity Designer’s vector brush. It has an option called the rope stabilizer. I use it all the time with the Apple Pencil on the iPad when creating lines and shapes. Feels a bit like magic!
