@gr36 (Sorry for the late reply, things have been a little crazy over here...)

There’s not a lot I can say, really. It’s a pretty simple process.

These ones were shot with the tiny missQ, a Leica Q first edition. That’s my small camera, the one that’s easy to carry around all the time, at the moment.

Most of the time I’ll just have the iPhone with me (needs updating to a newer model, but money only stretches so far) and shoot with that.
Whenever I’m working, or feel like it, I’ll carry the camera and shoot with that one (or the bigger 5D, but mostly the little one).

I just have it as close as possible all the time, when driving or walking around. If something catches my eye I’ll just shoot and move on, like taking quick notes on a diary.

At the end of the day, or whenever I have some free time, I’ll go through the photos, looking for those that I hope turned out nicer. Sometimes I’ll find some others that I thought were duds (or figure that my favorites are in fact failed attempts at something), and move those to Lightroom. A quick edit, and that’s it.

I have a couple of filters I use most of the time. Nothing too fancy, but I don’t usually try others, as I quickly find myself unable to pick from the results, so I’ll just go with the usual ones, not too heavy handed.

From time to time I’ll have a couple of photos that are too similar from the same situation, and that’s the trickier part: picking the one I’ll show, and the one(s) that will go into the archive, unseen. Thankfully I spent a lot of my time at the paper where I worked as an editor, so it takes a little less time to pick them.

And that’s it. I don’t think a lot about it, just go out, try something, sometimes it works, others it won’t.

@maique Even though my OMD is a relatively small camera and carry it wirh me at all times, sometimes I kinda want to switch to something smaller but just as equially or more powerful. But again, I dont do a lot of walking or outdoor work like you do so my photography has become more "evenful dependant" lol

@Gaby that is exactly what made opt for a Fujifilm X-E4. The size. And I could not be happier with my choice. I got a small camera pouch that can be thrown inside a backpack or carried alone with a strap and I am taking the camera out whenever I go outside. :)

@Gaby I highly recommend. I wanted for many years and did not regret at all! Film simulations 🤤

@Gaby I love my OMD EM-10, and when paired with the pancake 14-42mm lens it's almost like a point and shoot that it's more discreet and people tend not to notice it as a serious camera.
