When did iOS add support for accessing files on SD cards? This will make my life a lot easier.

@mdrockwell In the Lightning port you mean? That’s been there since the 30-pin connector.

@odd there was support for importing photos/video early on, but access in Files wasn’t added until iOS 13. I missed it apparently. Lol

@mdrockwell Oh, now I see. “Files” weren’t available back then either. I think I had the SD-card-to-30-pin adapter from Apple on my iPad 2.

@mdrockwell Something I might add… that inside of the iMovie app - when you want to add clips - you can pick “Files” and you will see the files app including any media cards attached. Before - to use imovie with external video files - you would have to import them into the photos app and then into the imovie. So much easier now to use my GoPro etc.
