@maique Unless I favorite a specific photo, once it’s posted somewhere, I dont care anymore or just forget about it. This is having me looking at using Flickr again, that is another form of preserving photos I think, I dont know. Or at least for as long as the service exsits

@pimoore haven used both apps for a long while. It’s hard to say, like Darkroom just gets it, it is pretty smart on what ti do when using a filter. VSCO, you have more manual control, you can just add the filter or you can add the filter and adjust even further. I am a lazy editor, i don’t like spending more than 5 minutes editing a picture. I got that from one of my favourite photographers ever, Travis Jensen, he said if he spent more than 5 mini editing, that photo would never see the light of day. So in that regard, I prefer Darkroom. That said, I feel like when it comes to black and white presets, VSCO has the bests

@Gaby Glad you do. I’m like, no way you’re doing all that for every photo you post here.

@pimoore @Gaby @maique my impression from using the free version of both is that VSCO has better film emulators but Darkroom has more control.

@maique oh wow, I didn’t know that but I am somehow not surprised. I try to do as much as I can in LR since I get it for free at my university. Been thinking about getting some of their packs but forcing myself to do it LR helps me to be a bit more deliberate.

@maique wow. I just finished reading and am I’m regretting not getting the film preset packs back in the day before they went to a subscription model for iOS. Alas, maybe I’ll make the plunge after all.

@lukemperez @maique This whole conversation has have me play with VSCO again, I need to go out and shoot so I have more un-edited photos. (of course I have many but I need an excuse) lol

@maique I don’t think so after some looking around. Their website only lists the subscription for mobile stuff.
