To vidya gamer micronauts re: Nintendo 🕹

Is it better to get the physical or digital copy of a game?

@simonwoods I tend to go digital simply for convenience of not having to swap carts over and over. No resale or sharing with others though..

@simonwoods well, I mostly get digital, mostly because I buy a lot of indie games that usually are released digitally only. Digitally are always available although, most of the time at regular price, specially first party Nintendo games. Some first party games you can get on sale thru other stores like, say Walmart, Best Buy etc… there’s also the collectable factor. Is it a game you would want the box for? Also there’s the, how much space you have? Which makes physical games worth it.

@Burk yeah the sharing thing is the big one for me. But the past few games we bought on the PS4 and it was so much easier.

@Gaby yep you nailed it. I’m comfortable paying twice for a special game, especially if the physical version is limited edition.

@frostedechoes the storage issue is definitely the biggest concern with digital. I think in the end I’ll go with physical copies for the most important games and then digital for most games.
