@wearsmanyhats @frostedechoes ha! that is true, now Twitter spatters all over your face following recommendations, I guess i don’t see it because i am 90% of the time using a third-party Twitter client

@peterimoore Feedbin has the ability to follow Twitter users via RSS. And I started using RSS-Bridge to create the feeds so I can use Tiny Tiny RSS for this. I haven’t decided yet, but I’m leaning toward going back to a Twitter client. The experience is just not great. :\

@peterimoore it could partially be because of my RSS setup — Unread plus Tiny Tiny RSS. The content of the tweet is shown in the title and content sections of the feed item. The person’s Twitter avatar isn’t shown in the “timeline” (I undervalued the quick image recognition for attributing tweets in my mind). And it adds friction to interacting with likes and replies.

I’ll still publish to my own site first and syndicate to Twitter, but I’m not sure if the whole Twitter via RSS thing is as great as I hoped.

@peterimoore Feedbin’s implementation is likely nicer than the RSS-Bridge setup I had. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
