Was there even a chance I’d get out of this McDonald’s without trying the world menu “Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger from Spain?” No, there was not. Did I also add on a “Stroopwafel McFlurry from the Netherlands?” Yes, I did.

@davextreme I'm also very curious about the McExtreme Bacon Burger. It sounds pretty extreme. (How where they?)

@davextreme that sounds appalling and/or delicious.

@davextreme We tried that one! Not bad. 🙂 So far, my favorite regional McDonalds burger was the Teriyaki burger and wasabi fries in Japan.

@nitinkhanna It’s their “world” menu. Taste the world!

@MitchWagner @droct Hmm. It’s a McDonald’s burger, so you mostly know what you’re getting. I think their recent “fresh” Quarter Pounder was a step up for them. This has Gouda which was novel I guess?

@davextreme Burger with gouda sounds delicious.

This is going to sound like a weird thing to say, but I don't spend enough time visiting American chains when traveling internationally. Sometimes you get exactly the same experience as at home, like Starbucks. Sometimes you get something weirdly different and interesting, as you are experiencing.

@MitchWagner Oh, this is in the US. It’s a promotion for I’m guessing the summer. When I’m oversees I try to eat local stuff. Like, y’know, curry in London. 😋

@davextreme Sounds about right. Well, if I get the chance to give it a try I might! The gouda sounds like at least a somewhat interesting twist.

@nitinkhanna This was from McD’s limited time world menu in the US but I’m tempted to buy a ticket to India just to try this. And all the paneer and Thums Up cola I can find while there.

@davextreme heh yeah Thums Up is the best! You can get decent paneer across the world now, though. Where are you located?

@davextreme You’ll get a Thums Up in a relatively medium-sized store in the US. Just check the expiry date. Although I doubt that stuff expires. @nitinkhanna

@pratik @nitinkhanna The Asian market just down the road from me has both, even. I make paneer sandwiches with some curried yogurt on naan somewhat frequently. 👍🏻

@davextreme sweeet! If you light fry the paneer and use roti instead of naan and wrap the paneer inside, those are paneer kathi rolls! Super easy to pack as a tiffin :)
