@Denny great piece. And "The US is, of course, founded by religious extremists fleeing persecution in their homelands, and who then inflicted genocide on the native American peoples as they colonised and settled on their lands. It’s a white European, male supremacist culture, very similar to Zionism, so it’s really no wonder the two are inextricably allied."

@lzbth My that is beautifully written! I'll be reading it a second time as you have offered so much to reflect on. I'll edit my post to provide a link back to your post.

Thank you for writing the response and for sharing it here! ❤️

@Denny 👏🏾💯🎯 As usual, you are on-point.

My Blackness demands total agreement and something pretty much everyone in my family from my 80-year-old parents to my teenage bi-racial/bi-national kids said in response to November 5: "This is E X A C T L Y who America is." My people have been and perennially are the canary in the coal mine and have been trying forever to warn about willful political ignorance playing to societal divisions. People like the Obamas, Tyler Perry, Samuel L Jackson, and even Harris herself in a coy manner pointed this out on the campaign trail.

Once again something you've written has inspired me to add on -- I'll come back with a link to a longer post when I get to it later today.
