While I hate giving money to Amazon, there isn’t another service that keeps audiobook listening and ebook reading in sync. That’s a magical feature.
@gdp We can all be "woke" about Amazon but Convenience is something that is pretty hard to let go. 🤣
@kulturnation same. I much prefer libro.fm now - they let you keep the audio file so you actually get what you pay for!
@gdp I'm currently kicking the tires on readwise.io/read for eBook syncing and it's in a pretty good state for an open beta. Also replaces Instapaper for my trouble.
@Contrariwise For the life of me I can’t make Readwise Reader mesh with my brain. I do use Readwise, though.
@gdp that’s fair. I had to dig into some of the settings to make it work for me, but I appreciate that they even made those options available. So much modern software wants to force you into its paradigm.
