@ConatusPrinciple I just mean the constant referencing of earlier work, which is critical for academic argument, but less helpful in a popular text. Hope you're having fun even in the face of all those earlier philosophers!

@KimberlyHirsh Yeah definitely, and especially in continental philosophy that’s still base itself on commentary on the classics in giant tomes, analytic philosophy is more like “here is my paper on X, everything you need to understand or critique it should be within these 10-20 pages”
