Every time my Mac tries to coerce me into upgrading to Tahoe, I get a little closer to selling it and buying a Linux laptop instead. Dead serious. Linux distros have gotten really good. Meanwhile, Apple insists on turning macOS into Windows as hard and fast as it can. Pour one out for the platform I used... feed.danj.ca

@ChrisJWilson pardon the necro reply 🧟‍♂️ but I just saw this. I’m in the same boat. iPad mini is my main not-a-computer device going forward, I think. Most of the integration I can live without or replace (e.g. swap AirDrop for LocalSend, which is pretty darn good).

Drafts.app remains the software I’d miss the most once outside the Apple ecosystem, I think…
