@philbowell I’ve been training with a personal trainer 2-3 times per week since my late 60s at a gym started by Dan Ritchie. I hate to think how doddering I’d be had I not done so.

@ReaderJohn @philbowell I had just gotten back to hitting the gym at the start of the pandemic, when our fitness room got closed—and I resolved not to let that stop me. For six years now I’ve been working out seriously. It has been helping a lot, in terms of making me feel better and move better.

@philipbrewer @ReaderJohn @philbowell My sense of balance is horrible (vestibulae don’t work properly - I got the balance problem diagnosed), but with strength I’ve managed to avoid falls or relying on a cane.
