One of the benefits of being married to a primary school teacher is that she sometimes finds old Apple stuff and brings it home for me. Here are two Apple USB Keyboards from 1998 and 1999! ⌨️

@martinfeld as a primary teacher I think my wife would disagree she has no appreciation of my several keyboards, Color Classic, HyperCard and system 7.1 floppies:-). I on the other hand wish I’d saved the QuickTake from the skip.

@ChrisJWilson Were you a fan of them at the time?

@johnjohnston Sounds like you have a cool collection though! My wife doesn’t love the keyboards but she gets that I love them, so she’s quite happy to generously enable it. Do you a have favourite item that you’ve kept?

@AlanRalph Have you considered getting another modern keyboard with similarly shaped keys, like the Matias range?

@martinfeld I remember thinking the iMacs were very cool. The USB changing was fascinating. I think I was more taken by the looks than anything else.

@martinfeld I’ve a soft spot for the white iBook that took me to OSX. It still feels not too slow on OS 9 on the odd occasion I’ve booted it up.

@johnjohnston Was your’s the G3 or G4? I had the former and I have a soft spot for it too. Even if the logic board died in the middle of my drafting a show. 😱

@johnjohnston White iBooks were great. Are you talking about the one with the translucent keys?

@AlanRalph You spend enough time typing on it so it should be comfortable!

@martinfeld @bruce G3 translucent keys. I loved that wee box. OSX slowed it down a bit to much.
