What a read that was.

Finished reading: The Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self by Carl R. Trueman 📚

@danalcantara I use readwise and read that on Kindle. I made 703 highlights.

@ReaderJohn I’m not sure how many highlights I have, but it was a lot. My training course provides us with a Perlego subscription so that’s how I read it.

@ChrisJWilson it was definitely a tough read, but he has helpful summaries throughout (and they didn’t feel like he was making padding). There’s a sort of abridged version (Strange New World) that’s supposed to be more accessible and a much slimmer 208 pages as opposed to the 432 for this one.

@danalcantara Interesting. I think I ought to go in at the deep end though. I'm sure it will be worth it.
