@christopherchelpka I've heard very good things about Dictionary of NT Background and Dictionary of Jesus & Gospels but own neither. The rest are new to me so I'll have to investigate them too. I've got The New Testament in Its World by Mike Bird and N.T. Wright. It has some great insights but is very much a brief summary. Thanks for sharing!
