I’ve been playing around with my Obsidian theme, it feels really at home on macOS apart from the position of the window controls. Can’t work out how to move them though.

@philbowell I’m intrigued by the calendar. Is that from a plug-in? What functionality does it add? (I have mixed feelings about sliding panes)
@ChrisJWilson yeh, there’s a calendar plugin and it links well with the daily notes. I think it gives the option to do weekly and monthly notes as well although I don’t use them.
I keep going back and forth with the sliding panes. I can’t settle in having them or not.
@philbowell Oh weekly and monthly notes sound fantastic! I use templates for that but deeper integration might be nice! I’ll check it out. Are you doing the sort of daily “fleeting” notes thing or something else? I think my approach is non-standard (I basically do day planning and weekly reviews)
@ChrisJWilson It’s the periodic notes plugin that gives you that, but it also links with the calendar plugin I think. I have a Daily Note open all day and journal in it, as well as time stamping things that happen in the day. Calendar makes it easy to refer back to things if I need to. I tried the weekly notes out for reviews but I can never get them to stick. My weekly reviews are always quite organic.
@ChrisJWilson Decided to become a Catalyst member and have set the iPad app up. How do I stop themes etc syncing between iPad and Mac? Everything gets very broken on the iPad and undoing it breaks everything on my Mac… 😂
@philbowell I'm fairly sure it's a synced css file and so can't be stopped but I could be wrong.
@ChrisJWilson It is, but you can set up a different configuration file for each device. It’s a decent workaround until they allow different theming for different devices.
@philbowell Same, just sent you a discourse message :)
