One thing from the before times I really miss: just grabbing my laptop or iPad and heading to a coffee shop to work for an hour or two.
If home working turns into a long-term trend, I guess we’ll have to find ways of recreating those social lifelines.
@adders Have you ever done one of those "coworking" video call things? Where people make a video call but don't talk or anything? I can understand the idea but it also feels very strange to me.
@ChrisJWilson No, and I can't really imagine it either. Given that much of my work is training, I spend too much time in Zoom and its ilk as it is.
I just miss the low level, random human contact, I suppose.
