@ChrisJWilson Note-taking should be a core skill taught in schools. General reference work should be included at some stage as well, with options to go deeper at a later stage.
@simonwoods After listening to the last Cortex it made me realise that there are some significant differences between US and UK education in terms of how note-taking fits into their education system. I certainly believe it is one of those meta skills that is just taken for granted usually.
@ChrisJWilson I've yet to listen to that episode but noticed a few people making reference to that aspect of it. There seems to be so many essential skills we take for granted and I can't think of one example where this is a good thing.
