Riverdale was totally bonkers this past season. I mean, what the actual hell is going on.
Yeah, I know…guilty pleasure and all that but we wait till it’s on Netflix

@Cheri We watch it only coz it's so outrageous but even for its standard, this season is totally out of whack.
@Zak That's what's our excuse too ;) Saves time in deciding what to watch when we turn on Netflix
@smokey @pratik @Cheri I foudn this last season just too stupid for me. I finished it out, but I don't think I'll be watching again next season unless people tell me they've dailed everything back a bit. I liked the first season as a sort of mashup of CW Teen Drama and Twin Peaks, but I felt like the second season went off the rails, and then the third season just moved even further off the rails. Also, (spoilers for season 2 ahead) I still don't buy Hal Cooper as the Black Hood. I think that was a very weird choice and it was poorly supported leading up to the revelation.
@smokey It seems to me that all personalities on Riverdale swing wildly based upon what the plot needs that week. 😐
@DrOct And yet... the plots are so ridiculous as to be pretty compelling. Low-quality cheese, but who am I to judge? I love Sharknado movies! 😆
@pratik I think the quality of Season 1 attracted lots of folks, many? some? of whom have remained in spite of the past two seasons. A friend of mine kept posting in the early episodes of s1 about how good it was, which is what finally drew me in, and it grabbed me. The plot seemed tight (though not without its problems), the characters (mostly) strong and consistent, and so forth. It was Veronica Mars-y in all the best ways.
It would not surprise me, though, if it returned to a demographic more in line with The CW’s stated one after two seasons of failing to recapture the quality of s1 ;-) // @DrOct @Cheri
