@Cheri I don’t watch the show, currently, but I’ve seen the reactions all over my Twitter. It seems like it’s the most decisive episode ever!

@Cheri I think Dany's arc has been foreshadowed from very early on, although the execution in the last couple episodes has been pretty hamfisted. (If I replaced "episodes" with "seasons" in that sentence, I'd feel the same way, though.)

@Cheri I enjoyed it. A lot. It made sense for this show but there is a popular opinion that makes me feel like maybe I missed something over the past 8 years. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Cheri been discussing this a lot with friends and colleagues... I think ultimately, my biggest issue with how the show has been ending is the poor payoff on years of contradictory character development. Particularly in the case of Dany and Jaime, who both had these extremely long arcs reinforcing one thing, and then turned on a dime in another direction.

I feel like if they had more time to develop these payoffs, things would have felt much more gratifying and believable. Its not the particular outcomes that bother me, its the poor handling of the characters.

@simonwoods Many ppl feel that redemptive character arcs were reversed too abruptly. Character motivation seems inconsistent at times & thin reasons are given for significant choices. I share these opinions, but it doesn’t erase my enjoyment of the show overall. 🙂

@Cheri Meh. That's how I feel about most lengthier TV shows. Books are better.
