@Cheri It's comforting to know that we, here in the Midwest are not alone in facing the noisey Parrot Invaders. Chicago has them, NW Indiana has them. We're blaming Chicago. They build giant stick nests on top of electrical transformers which eventually shorts them out. Of course everybody is polarized over what to do about them. Personally I think it's part of a larger conspiracy. ;-)

@Cheri It surprises me too, but they are hardy little critters, plus our winters are quite a bit milder than they used to be because of climate change. Still I think there is a die off when we get a harsher winter but some survive. Those transformers get warm which is why they nest on them and I think that is a key part of their survival.
