If I leave twitter. What does that means? Will I be less nerdy? Will I miss anything? Will I loose anything?

@Gabz Suggestion:

  • Make some notes about how you feel when you're using Twitter.
  • Try life without it for a month (which is the length of time they force on you anyway).
  • A day or two before the account is gone entirely, make some notes about how you've been feeling for the past month.

Then compare the two sets of notes and choose your preference.

@Gabz What do you gain from twitter just now? It's probably the one social media channel I could easily drop. My most useful interactions are on FB (mostly local event announcements rather than friends posting photos of their cats), my most pleasing interactions are on Instagram (because I'm a frustrated photographer myself), but Twitter is mostly a 'something is going on maybe I can find out on Twitter' channel for me these days. Although I do tend to push most automated posts there (from here, from my Instagram via IFTTT, from my main blog, from my Pocket reading list). What's the ROI for YOUR Twitter?

@Gabz I am still nerdy as heck. Got off twitter in 2017 after 10 years on it.

@Gabz Set up Twitterrific to just pull a feed of #SwitchScreenshots and start calling it Switcher? 🙃
