Sweet! Got a Nintendo Switch for Christmas. What games should I get??? Hit me up!

@EddieHinkle @gaby’s selections are solid. BOTW is my favorite game. Super Mario Odyssey is also a masterpiece. Mario Kart 8 is a lot of fun, too. Have fun!

@EddieHinkle Zelda, Mario and Smash are the three must haves in our house.

@EddieHinkle the mandatory ones: Mario Odyssey, and Zelda BoTW. And a less common suggestion but surprisingly good: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, it is such a fun strategy game.

@EddieHinkle haha, awesome. Santa brought me season tickets to the LA Rams for the 2019 season and a ticket to the playoffs this year. Pretty amazing work by @cleverangel! I’ll likely catch up to you on an iPad in January or February depending on a few things 😉

@fcy @cheesemaker @mjdescy @Gaby Awesome! Sounds like the most common Recommended were BoTW and Mario Odyssey! I’ll have to add those to the top of the list, and then check out the others! I got the Mario Kart Deluxe edition so Mario Kart 8 came with! Really been enjoying that tonight!

@EddieHinkle some off the beaten path recommendations: if you want a fun party game that is only like $15 (USD) I'd go with Ultimate Chicken Horse (digital download from the Nintendo store.)

Firewatch just came out for the Switch as well - if you never played it on Steam then that's def worth a shot.

@EddieHinkle Out of my 130 games these are the tops games: Super Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, Mario+Rabbids, Celeste, Stardew Valley, Splatoon 2, Mario Kart Deluxe 8, Messenger, Gris, Towerfall, Yokus Island Express, Hollow Knight, Dead Cells and Into the Breach.

@soypunk Awesome! Those are great to hear! I’ve heard about Firewatch but never played it. Seems like the Switch might be a great opportunity to try it out!

@EddieHinkle I got one for Christmas too! Zelda is great fun. I also got Shelter 2 Generations (searching Shelter in the store should show it, it's the one with the lynx) - and love it. Oh, and pirates was on sale for $1 or something so I bought that because why not :D

@rosemaryorchard Yay!! 🙌 Mine came with Mario Kart, and I bought Mario + Rabbids Kingdom because it seems fun and was on sale. I think Zelda and a Mario Game (Either Odyssey or Universe) are the next two to purchase here shortly! (lol I saw something on sale for $0.01, I was like … ehhh, probably shouldn’t. haha)

@canion That’s awesome! I’m sure there should be enough time for Dad to play too 😉I, on the other hand, still have a couple of years before I have to think about that. For now, play time is when my son (5 months) takes his naps or goes to bed. When he fell asleep last night around 8pm, my wife and I turned on Mario Kart and played for several hours. 😆

@Burk out of this list (removing Odyssey and Breathe of the Wild) do you have a favorite recommendation. I've been eyeing Octopath or Golf Story as my next game to pick up.

@kordumb I thought Golf Story was a blast! If you only want to play one game at a time, Golf Story will take much less time to play through.
