@JohnPhilpin I sadly believe it’s just hope that he will loose. I personally do not have this hope, and outside the US I don’t know anyone who really thinks the Democrats will win.

@hutaffe A thread of hope: turnout in the Tuesday primaries was way up* compared to 2016 and first-time voters broke for Biden. Trump’s approval rating has never gotten over 44% and he basically had to shoot the moon to win last time (lost the popular vote by 3 million, won the deciding three states by a combined 100,000).

At least, that’s what I tell myself to sleep at night.

* In Virginia, I think it was ~1.3 million compared to ~750,000.

@bix actuallu if dems lost but they had the senate - a second impeachment wouldn’t be out of the question.
