I see foldable phones turned out to be a very serious product category and not a gimmick at all.
@simonwoods Might be eventually; smartphones were around for about a decade before the iPhone.
But, yeah, the tech just isn’t there yet.
@Bruce TBH I want to skip this weird period of folding things and just skip straight to the Minority Report/Tony Stark stage.
@simonwoods @Bruce I'd be interested in a "slider" phone one screen slides into another screen to make a larger joined screen, but I'm not sure how small a gap current OLED can create between the two parts. I'm not convinced the foldable tech is ready yet. But definitely looking forward to the future.
