It’s pronounced GLOSTER - like ‘LOSTER’ with a G at the front … NOT GLOWSESTOR

… why do Americans keep going out of their way to pronounce place names of every country in the world correctly - but when it comes to the UK, not even an effort is made.

And we have lots of the same place names so we arrogantly assume you pronounce them the same way we do. Two peoples divided by a common language.

I saw a comedian talk about Spanish like that once - Mexican Spanish is straightforward and simplified, while the description of Spanish Spanish he (she?) gave was like they were dancing with their tongues! :D

@derekpeden heh - i think we all know that our personal timeline is VERY different to the Micro Blog timeline … and I saw from some earlier posts that you have got a lot going on .... meanwhile, glad you liked ... something I learned as a student for some reason - and it has always stuck - I also used to be able to recite the meaning ... tho that talent has long since disappeared ... but for interest and completion …

@JohnPhilpin My equivalent would have to be counting from 1-10 in Mandarin. Although I’m willing to bet my pronunciation is pretty far from correct.
