I had the great pleasure and honour of chatting with @macgenie for this week’s Micro Monday microcast. It was really fun! If she invites you, go for it, you won’t regret it.

@BestofTimes Hehe 😂. I’m not actually from Birmingham originally. Interestingly, Mr. Bsag (who is) doesn’t sound very Brummie either.
@bsag Well done on the podcast. Without being weird, your blog was one of the first I had in my RSS reader; I suspect I found you via your work on Tracks.
@Cowlibob Thanks! One of the lovely things about having a blog for so long is that you have a few long term readers, and it’s always a joy to come across them 😀

👍
Really lovely to hear you and @macgenie chat; I have a feeling this was one of those episodes that could have run twice as long :-)
@bsag buying A Pocket of Wind Resistance now...
Did I ever recommend Solan Goose?
@BestofTimes Yay! You did recommend Solan Goose, and I have it and love it. He has another album coming out soon (Sule Skerry) which I am really looking forward to.
@bsag this is a lovely album and one I’d never heard of. The language and themes of land and nature and history remind me of my favourite novel, Sunset Song.
@BestofTimes It’s gorgeous isn’t it? Apparently it started as a staged piece which I would have loved to see (but would have probably left me in pieces, given my reaction to the album!). I’ll have to check out Sunset Song now.
@BestofTimes @bsag Thanks to both of you introducing me to new music.. and going down a new rabbit hole
@stickmandiaries @bestoftimes Glad you both enjoyed it. That performance of Cover Your Eyes is great. You might also like Northern Flyway. It’s different stylistically, but has a similar concept of being interested the ways that humans and birds interact.
@bsag Karine Polwart has a tour this year so maybe there are places near you. Edinburgh in November is lovely and the Usher Hall will be ideal for me. www.usherhall.co.uk/whats-on/...
