I love walking barefoot so I’m excited to be trying some ‘barefoot’ running shoes in the next few days.
These are not those weird Vibram ‘Five Fingers’ that are fantastic but just not for me.

@BestofTimes I’m gradually switching to barefoot shoes for walking. I got a very minimal pair of Vivobarefoot shoes which I love for everyday, then some second-hand walking boots by the same brand for hiking. Extremely comfortable for 10+ mile walks and you feel much more in contact with your surroundings.
@bsag That’s just what I’m hoping. I love walking barefoot and a recent episode of Ramblings on Radio 4 reminded me to try out the shoes
@BestofTimes I hope you enjoy them. They seem incidentally to have helped increase my foot flexibility and strength.
@bsag I went for the Xero brand but still trying them out. I’m going to give Vevobarefoot a try too in case they fit better. Apparently Vevo are somewhat higher quality.
@BestofTimes I haven’t tried them. What I like about Vivobarefoot is that they make them to be repairable, so you can send them back and get the sole replaced for eg.
