@AndySylvester Although I’m for strong unions, I wish they would separate hard labor and night shift workers from other work groups. In Norway where I live we have had a pension age at 67 for as long as I have lived (50+), and that have worked very well for us. Remember that people live longer than before, but may need care for longer too, and that financing has to come from somewhere. The only thing that I can understand is if there is high unemployment in France, and those can’t make or get other jobs.
@odd thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it. I think labor and management should work together for the benefit of all. My post was to highlight some recent writings about organizing. There are companies taking advantage of workers, and workers should be able to unionize to level the playing field.
