Really sad to hear that the Twin Cities Marathon got cancelled today but with the weather I get where organizers had to make that tough call. I do feel bad for the runners to as I know being on that starting line a year ago all the hard work and miles you have to put in to get to that point.
@ericmwalk I had to triple check this news on their website this morning. We were planning on walking the couple blocks and watching the runners come through. Tough call indeed, particularly for racers that travel in!
@jthingelstad @ericmwalk I ran the TCM 5k yesterday, and although it was cooler, the humidity was 91%. I was sweating quite a bit after only the first mile, but it wasn’t that much different than normal running in a Minnesota summer. We knew not to expect a PR, which was fine.
