📝 just published a new article

I love and use AI answer engines (Perplexity, ChatGPT, Grok, etc) all day.

There's a problem though.

I'm no longer browsing the web; I'm consuming AI answers instead. I'm missing out on what made the web magical to begin with.

@Adam ah I didn’t specify an exact time for the post yaml, just the day, so that prob did it and it used midnight utc time probably

@stammy Great article, I’d been lamenting the loss of the web we had in the 90-00s. AI answer engines are definitely taking us further away from what made that experience great.

@stammy Kagi Assistant[^ai] is a middle ground for me because it is tightly integrated with Kagi Search

It takes my personal search settings and rankings into account

I even can tell it to use Small Web lenses to rank personal blogs higher
