@smokey Gorgeous photos! The fresh figs takes me right back to end of summer in my childhood. My grandparents had a grove of fig trees and I practically lived off of them in September.

@jemostrom I imagine you could select a handful of Swedish plants and I’d say the same—one of the fun things about Micro.blog is getting to see all of the different flora and fauna around the world :-)

@schuth @annie They are wonderful. The mother of one of my best friends from the first part of elementary school gave the then-quite-small tree to my parents about 15-20 years ago, and it’s only in the last 5 or so years that it has produced enough to eat. Normally it produces in ”please take a pound-carton off our hands!” excess, like the strawberry patch, but this year—I don’t know if it’s the weather or if my dad and I pruned it too much last year—it was way down; this was a typical every-other-day harvest. Still, can’t complain about free fresh fruit :-)
