@Dino I mostly keep a daily journal/diary in them but I sometimes use the blank ones for drawing.
@gregmoore I use the same box to store my notebooks! I have two of them and they're amazing. Love me some Field Notes
@ChrisJWilson Yeah, it's difficult to pay extra for something I've literally made myself at home. I got these through a local hipster store that had them so I just paid for the notebooks themselves. Maybe there is a local stationary store in your area?
@mariovillalobos I really want a table saw so I can start making my own boxes like this. Until then, used cigar boxes are usually sized right.
@gregmoore I see. I'm a big fan of the paper quality of their notebooks. I just wish they would make a bigger one with a hardcover. I would go through their existing offerings really quick if I use them as my bullet journal.
@Dino I totally agree. I use a much bigger notebook for bullet journaling; a Baron Fig Confidant that my wife gifted me. I love the thicker paper in it even more.
@peterimoore I spent years bouncing between the Day One app and a paper journal for years before I finally realized that my brain needs an analog process if I want to connect with anything emotional. Plus, I don't have the additional cost of printing it afterwards because it's baked into the creation. 🙂
@gregmoore ooh that is a good one. I’ve got the same box, but only about 2/3 full so far
@gregmoore Agreed, writing something down is the best way to learn or connect with it. Plus I enjoy stepping away from screens sometimes and listening to the scratching of pen on paper.
@gregmoore one of these days I'm going to get myself a Baron Fig Confidant just to try it out 😀
