@Gabz I have a couple of games like that, it usually goes like this;

  • game gets great reviews, loads of buzz
  • I finally get around to buying and downloading/installing the game
  • I finally get around to playing the game
  • I suck so bad at the game, reactions are too slow, etc. so I get frustrated and ditch it
  • my Son starts playing the game, he's instantly good, or good enough, at it
  • I go play Firewatch, Stardew Valley, or something similar on my Switch and comfort myself with good, slow, gameplay...

It's tough getting older.

@matpacker true! I should have staid playing Diablo 3 on the switch. I haven’t died on that one yet.

@Gabz I feel ya. Games like Fallout and RDR2 are enough of a challenge for me.

@ronguest it’s also time, I don’t have all the time for gaming i had before kids! 😅 I don’t want to spend the little gaming time I have dying over and over on the same spot and not advancing.

@Gabz I have two myself and yes time is a huge difference. Dying feels like a waste of time in a game and as slow as some games are to reload I end up in the “I don’t have time for this crap” mood.
