@Denny, I have no proof of this, but Drafts’s text scanning does a superior job.
@josephaleo It's not really the same thing. Many folks want the actual scan of the document not just the text recognition. What's needed is the pdf scan showing the original document AND the text, usually for searching purposes. Or, it may be that a document also has images or diagrams that are needed. Second, Drafts is just using the built in text recoginiton that is provided by Apple to developers and which is being used by Notes, Files and other apps. So the results are likely identical.
That said, cool that Drafts has the feature and thanks for pointing it out!
@Denny this is based solely on me, but I found Drafts scanning to be better than Apple’s, which is weird since Drafts uses Apple’s functionality.
